The CD-I was an ambitious concept designed by Philips and released all over the world. There are countless systems released in this range, from portable systems to CD-player styled ones. Even Sony released a CD-I. The 450 has a focus on the videogame market and was among the best selling systems, but overall, the concept only had minor success.
Das CD-I war ein ambitioniertes Konzept von Philips, welches weltweit in den Markt eingeführt wurde. Es gibt zahlreiche Systeme, die von portablen Systemen bis hin zu CD-Player-Designs reichen. Sogar Sony hat ein CD-I veröffentlicht. Das 450 hat seinen Fokus auf den Videospiele-/Unterhaltungs-Bereich, und war eines der am meist verkauften CD-Is. Dennoch hatte das Gesamtkonzept eher mäßigen Erfolg.
